全國英語等級考試（public english test system，簡稱pets）是教育部考試中心設(shè)計并負(fù)責(zé)的全國性英語水平考試體系。作為中、英兩國政府的教育交流合作項目，在設(shè)計過程中它得到了英國專家的技術(shù)支持。
全國英語等級考試是面向社會，以全體公民為對象的非學(xué)歷性英語證書考試，是測試應(yīng)試者英語交際能力的水平考試。由教育部考試中心主辦，各地教育考試院社會考試辦公室負(fù)責(zé)具體實施。英語考試等級根據(jù)難度由低到高分為一級b、一級、二級、三級、四級、五級。其中，五級由教育部考試中心選定的高等院校負(fù)責(zé)，其它級別的考試由各地教育考試院社會考試辦公室負(fù)責(zé)具體實施。

6、pets考試考生報考不受地域的限制，可以跨地區(qū)報考。
7、考生要按時參加考試。筆試考生從8:30開始入場，8:45后不得入場。上午進(jìn)行的口試考生從8:30開始入場，9:00后不得入場；下午進(jìn)行的口試考生從13:30開始入場，14:00后不得入場。

公共英語三級寫作備考指南與分析 pets考試
要想在寫作部分獲取高分，除了平時的積累外，還有一個重要的因素就是要通曉寫作方法，并具備良好的臨場發(fā)揮能力。這樣考生才能合理地分配時間，以適當(dāng)?shù)墓?jié)奏在要求的時間內(nèi)完成寫作。
1．考前做好充分準(zhǔn)備
英語寫作能力的培養(yǎng)與其他聽、說、讀能力的培養(yǎng)是相同的，是靠平時一點一滴的積累與考前一段時間的強化訓(xùn)練得來的，臨陣磨槍寫不出好文章。首先，語言基本功要過硬，要有一定相應(yīng)級別的詞匯量和語法知識，而且還要有一定的英語句式運用知識，如強調(diào)句、倒裝句、從句、分詞短語等。在考試中要盡量避免出現(xiàn)單詞拼寫、語法及語境運用錯誤。其次，對此類作文的寫作方法也要進(jìn)行一段時間的學(xué)習(xí)并掌握好。不但要掌握理論，而且要多動筆練習(xí)。最后，復(fù)習(xí)時要多讀范文，再找?guī)灼煌愋?、不同題材的范文背誦。
2．合理分配考試時間
在pets第三級考試中，筆試共l20分鐘。其中，分配給寫作的時間有40分鐘，雖然這部分時間相當(dāng)于整份筆試試卷的1／3，但要在40分鐘的時間內(nèi)閱讀完全部的英文指示，理解圖表、圖形或文字的說明，然后完成內(nèi)容毫不相干的兩篇作文，時間是非常緊張的。這就更需要考生合理分配時間，充分利用這有限的40分鐘。
考試時，考生可以大致把這40分鐘的時間分為兩段：一段大約為15分鐘，用于a節(jié)應(yīng)用文的寫作；另一段大約為25分鐘，用于理解b節(jié)的信息和寫作。
3．打腹稿
無論是應(yīng)用文還是敘述性、描述性或說明性的文章，在動手寫之前，都應(yīng)先整理出文章的主要脈絡(luò)。由于考試時間緊張，很難有足夠的時間在紙上打草稿，所以，考生只能在腦海中完成這項工作。這樣做，表面上是浪費了一點時間，但實際上在動手寫作的時候會節(jié)約時間。而且，只有在腦海中先有一個清晰的脈絡(luò)，才能保證文章緊扣主題，較有條理。

5．保持卷面整潔
